The Key to Getting Value from Feedback

We recently posted about giving and receiving feedback and how to do that effectively, you can see giving feedback here and receiving feedback here as a reminder.  The next step is to make sure everyone gets the most out of the process.  So here’s a quick list you may want to give to recipients – whether through appraisal, 360 degree review of less formal feedback.

So now you have this feedback what do you do with it?

  • Identify the key development areas
  • Prioritise these development areas so you know where to start. We recommend you don’t try to do it all at once!
  • Add these to to you personal development plan (if you need a free template please contact us)
  • Speak to your line manager about how they can support you
  • Review your progress regularly: ask for more feedback
