Think about it. You aren’t really a manager until you start delegating effectively. Delegation is one of the key skills of management. You absolutely need to get good at these eight steps to delegation.

1. Define the task
2. Choose the person
3. Agree objectives and scope
4. Deal with any concerns or objections
5. Let them get on with it
6. Monitor progress
7. Coach them, where appropriate
8. Feedback on results
